Session Concept Survey

Packages are priced based on the total number of finished & professionally edited images you receive from a set.

For more info and F.A.Q., continue to the bottom of the page.

Headshots

Photos focusing solely on the subject. Used for professional websites, businesses, actor & model comp cards, business cards, and more.

Headshot Package: $195

Single Person – 3 Final Digital Images

Classic Portraits

Photos focusing on the subject(s) while portraying a classical mood by also focusing on lighting/wardrobe/backdrops

Cinematic Portraits

Portraits taken in beautiful or important places, where the background and scenery is part of the highlight and focus of the overall shot, as well as the subjects. These types of shots are often seen in my wedding galleries, and are great for engagements, couple’s portraits, and fashion. These sessions most often require me to travel to you, rather than shooting in studio.

Traveling Fees:

Within 10 miles of Studio (Dayton, Ohio) – FREE
Up to 20 Miles Away – Add $25
Up to 50 Miles Away – Add $60

Up to 100 Miles Away – Add $100

Conceptual Portraits

Conceptual, fashion, fine art, and avant garde.

Photos focusing on a concept/theme/wardrobe/lighting/misc and using the subject as one of many pieces to the overall puzzle. Conceptual portraits convey a sense of fantasy and subjects are portraying a character, rather than themselves. These sessions typically require extensive planning and editing, and include use of all in-studio props and accessories (headpieces, designer wardrobe, etc.)

Environmental Portraits

Photos focusing on showing who a subject is by highlighting them in their work or living area, such as portraits of artists in their studios, bakers in their kitchens, or professionals in their offices.

*PRO TIP*
When it comes to conceptual, it is quality over quantity. A session with three spectacular images will be more valuable than any less-than-spectacular session with 10 or more finished images. When dealing with highly conceptualized photos, 1-3 image sessions will typically yield the absolute best and strongest results. This is why my packages typically cap out around 3 photos, but I CAN do larger packages if needed.

-We accept Cash (in person), Checks, Zelle, Facebook Payments, and Paypal.

-Payment plans are accepted. Let me know when booking that you'd like to set yourself up on a payment plan, and we can create one custom to fit your needs and budget.

-You can expect your finished photos within a few days to 2 weeks from the shoot date. If you purchased a lot of photos, or if we did a very elaborate shoot, expect the wait time to be closer to 2-4 weeks.  Weddings can be anywhere from 4-12 weeks. Actual turnaround times may vary.

-Sessions do not include prints (unless given free as part of a promotion)
All portrait packages come with a free print release, giving you legal rights to print your images anywhere you want and as many times as you want with no additional fees. Print releases can be added to conceptual packages for an additional fee. Your finished images will be emailed to you in a digital format.
A print release will allow you to print your photos but does NOT permit you to sell them, edit them, make money from them, or claim them as your own photographic work. If you would like to purchase the commercial rights to resell your photographs and make money from them, you may purchase the commercial releases for $90 a photo. Owning commercial rights still does not permit you to claim the piece as your own photographic work, but will allow you to use the images commercially. If you are unsure if you need the commercial license or not for your project, just ask. Please note that even with a commercial release, you will still not be permitted to sell the digital image(s) as stock photography, and you will still need permission to make edits or changes to the original piece.

-Sessions are priced based on the number of finished, edited photos. If you buy a 3 photo session, you will get three photos in total from said session. I do not give out the unedited extras, and I do not send out RAW photos under any circumstances. The unedited photos are not included in the package and will not be given.

-Sessions do not include hair, makeup, or wardrobe. Plans for any or all three can be made accordingly. A stylist can be hired as an addition to your package, and costumes can be rented. If you would like to explore these options, simply inquire about them when booking your session. The studio is equipped with a variety of accessories, headpieces, and crowns of which you will be welcome to use during your session.

-In order to choose the absolute best images from a set, I will select the images that are to be edited. I do not show unedited galleries or allow clients to choose which photos are edited. I do this for a number of reasons, the number one being quality. I can see how the image will look after editing, and often times I will combine two or more images into one to make the best possible finished product. I look at not only how you look in an image, but clarity, composition, focus, etc. This ensures that only the best of the best is given. It is impossible for a client to envision how I will edit the photos and rework them, so leaving the choices up to me makes sure that you get the absolute best shots you can get.

-All packages include a time limit of up to two hours shooting time. For packages with hair and makeup, the time limit is 3 hours. If the session has to run over time, as deemed necessary by me, you will not be charged for the extra time.  Conceptual sets are not subject to this time rule and may run over.

DEPOSITS
-A $50 deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your spot. For weddings, we require a $300 deposit.
We cannot book your date without the deposit. All deposits go toward the total price of your package, are considered "initial payments", and all are NONREFUNDABLE.
-The remaining balance must be paid in full before the scheduled date of the shoot, or 14 days before your wedding/event.
-If you hire a makeup artist and/or hairstylist they may require an additional deposit at the time of booking.

CANCELLATIONS / RESCHEDULING

Portrait & Conceptual Policy:
A $50 non-refundable deposit/initial payment is required at the time of booking to hold the date/time for you. This payment does come out of the total package price, and is not returned in the event of cancelation. If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be applied to another day so long as you cancel 48 hours or more in advance. If you cancel or reschedule your session within 48 hours, you will forfeit your initial deposit and will need to pay a new one in order to secure a new date for your session. If you no call/no show on the day of the photoshoot, you may be required to pay full price up front in the future and you will only receive a 50% refund on any balance already paid, not including your non-refundable deposit.

Wedding & Event Policy:
A $300 non-refundable deposit/initial payment is required at the time of booking to hold the date/time for you. This payment does come out of the total package price, and is not returned in the event of cancelation. If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be applied to another day so long as you cancel 4 weeks or more in advance. If you cancel or reschedule your session within 4 weeks, you will forfeit your initial deposit and will need to pay a new one in order to secure a new date for your session.
Should you cancel your wedding or event within two weeks of the event date, you will receive a 50% refund of any amount paid (after the deposit), and the remainder will be kept as a late cancelation fee.

**If you booked a makeup artist and/or hairstylist for your session, they may have their own clause for cancelling and cancelling with short notice and deposits. We work with many different makeup artists, so be sure to ask what the cancellation and rescheduling policy is for your particular artist when booking. **

**Taxes and fees are not included in your refund amount.**
